OWLS ASSISTANT TEACHER
Natasha hails from the beautiful island of sand and sunshine, Dominica, in the West Indies. She migrated to the United States sixteen years ago and has lived in Atlanta since then. Natasha is married to her husband, Frederick, with three beautiful children. Her love for children preceded becoming a mother. She has worked with children for 14 years as a child care provider being both a nanny and a teacher through her church. Since joining the teaching team at The Children’s Garden Natasha feels she’s been able to share her love for children on a deeper and greater level. It was through her best friend, who was a former teacher at The Children’s Garden, that Natasha was introduced to Executive Director, Sally Hansen, in 2018. After a mid-year meeting, Sally felt Natasha to be an excellent candidate for training in the school’s pedagogy. Natasha has grown into her work and joyfully connects with the holistic approach of the preschool because it speaks so innately to the way she was raised on Dominic in her childhood. Natasha says, “I enjoy the experience of watching the children grow and develop very naturally, into their own personality. And I appreciate the way they view themselves and those around them.” Natasha is thrilled to be part of the teaching team, and humbled to have an opportunity to positively impact these young children on their early years journey.
